About PDF Flourish

PDF Flourish is a collection of free utilities for working with PDFs, images and documents. Most tools of this kind ask you to upload private documents to a stranger's server, create an account, or accept a watermark. We wanted the opposite.

How it works

Nearly every tool here runs entirely inside your web browser using standard web technology. When you choose a file, it is read into your browser's memory, processed on your own device, and offered back to you as a download. Your document is never transmitted to us, because there is nothing on our side to receive it.

What we will not do

• We will not require an account or an email address.
• We will not add watermarks to your files.
• We will not publish a tool that pretends to work but does not.

That last point is why some tools are marked as in development. Password protection and OCR, for example, need capabilities we have not yet shipped in a way we trust. We would rather say so plainly.

How the site is funded

The site is supported by advertising in clearly labelled places that never sit next to or imitate a download button. Ads are only loaded once an advertising account is configured — there are no fake placeholders.

Limits

Because processing happens on your device, very large files depend on how much memory your device has. Files up to 50 MB work well on most modern computers and phones.
