Terms of service

Last updated: 10 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and PDF Flourish covering your use of pdfflourish.app and every tool on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The service

PDF Flourish provides free tools that convert, compress and edit documents and images. All processing happens inside your own browser on your own device; we do not receive, store or process your files. No account, email address or payment is required, and there are no premium tiers, trials or watermarks.

Your responsibilities

• You must have the legal right to process every file you open in a tool.
• You must not use the site for unlawful purposes, including handling material you are not permitted to handle, infringing someone else's copyright, or removing protection from a document without authorisation.
• You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Always keep the original file before processing it.
• You must not attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or scrape it at scale.
• You must not resell the service, rebrand it as your own, or automate access in a way that degrades it for other people.

Acceptable use of automation

Personal, occasional use is welcome, including processing many files in a day. Running scripted or bulk traffic against the site, embedding it in another product, or circumventing rate limiting is not permitted and may be blocked.

Intellectual property

The site's name, design, written guides and code are owned by us or used under licence, including several open-source libraries under their own licences. You keep all rights in your own files and in the output the tools produce from them — we claim nothing over your content. You may not copy substantial portions of the site's written content without permission.

Availability

The service is offered as available. We may add, change, suspend or remove tools and pages at any time, without notice, and we do not promise uninterrupted access. Individual tools depend on features of your browser, so an old or restricted browser may not run everything.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of conversion output, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Conversions between formats are approximations: layout, fonts and formatting may differ from the original. Always check output before relying on it, and never rely on it for legal, medical or financial decisions without verifying it yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from use of the site, including lost data, corrupted output, lost profits or business interruption. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and it does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Advertising and third-party links

The site is funded by advertising. Advertisements and any links to other websites are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. Advertising is governed by the provider's own terms and by our privacy policy and cookie policy.

Termination

You may stop using the site at any time. We may restrict access if these terms are breached or if access harms the service or other users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without affecting mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
