How to combine PDF files into one document

Applications, invoices and expense claims are usually accepted as one file only. Merging is the fix, and the only thing that really needs care is the order.

Drag and drop up to 20 PDFs, or choose them from your device.

Up to 50 MB per file. Files are processed in your browser.

Get the order right before you merge

Files sorted by filename rarely land in the order you want — "scan10" sorts before "scan2". Arrange the documents visually in the list, then merge once. Reordering after the fact means splitting the file back apart.

Mixed page sizes and orientations

A merged PDF keeps each source page at its own size, so an A4 report followed by a landscape spreadsheet stays exactly as it was. That is usually what you want. If a submission portal demands uniform pages, export the odd pages to images and rebuild them at a single size.

What does not survive a merge

  • Form fields with the same name across documents can collide — flatten forms first if the values matter.
  • Bookmarks and internal links that point inside a source document may not carry over.
  • Digital signatures are invalidated by any change to the file, merging included.

Step by step

  1. 1Add every PDF you want to include.
  2. 2Drag them into the exact order the reader should see.
  3. 3Remove anything added by mistake.
  4. 4Merge, then open the result and check the first page of each section.
  5. 5Download the combined document.
